About

I've been where you are.

I grew up in Bulgaria, frustrated by the lack of opportunity, and at 19 I moved to London with almost nothing. I slept on benches, walked miles to work, and worked up to three jobs at once while I put myself through university. I qualified as a chartered accountant at KPMG, then spent years in the City working alongside some of the world's largest investment banks.

Along the way I learned something that changed how I think: you rarely build real freedom working for someone else. So I started my own firm — and I built it the way I now help clients build theirs: on clear systems, financial controls and goals, so the business serves its owner rather than the other way round. Today I run a practice designed to give clients exactly what I spent two decades searching for — control, clarity and genuine independence.

That's why Shubraka is built specifically for Bulgarian business owners in the UK. I've lived the move, the two languages, the two tax systems, the uncertainty of building something far from home. When we say we understand both your numbers and your world, we mean it — because it's our world too.
